Alex Goudreau

she/her/hers

Science/Health Sciences Librarian
UNB Saint John

I'm here to help and support you with your research and library needs! Here are some examples of what I can help with:

  • Figuring out or narrowing down a research topic for a paper/assignment
  • Identifying and evaluating sources, including how to distinguish source types and how to choose sources based on your research context
  • Strategies for searching for information and accessing scholarly sources (such as data, statistics, books, etc.) and peer-reviewed articles, including how to use academic databases and Google Scholar
  • Tips on how to read scholarly sources and critically appraise research methods
  • How to manage your sources and research using a citation management program like Zotero
  • Navigating UNB Libraries’ website and physical library spaces

I'm happy to meet with students and faculty in person in the Hans W. Klohn Commons, anywhere on the Saint John campus, or virtually through Teams. My working days are Monday-Friday and my specific available hours are subject to change.

Contact me by email: alex.goudreau@unb.ca, through Teams chat, schedule a specific meeting time, or drop by my office HWK117.
